On August 23, 2019 residents from Massachusetts and Vermont joined together to explore the Green River from the confluence to the headwaters on a late summer evening Bus Tour. While a state line divides us, the Green River Watershed is a bi-state watershed that has a lot of unique issues and activities happening on each side of the state line. Stopping at project sites along the way, the group explored water quality issues, recreational use, historic sites, flood resiliency efforts, and natural regions. The presentations by regional organizations working along the Green River, as well as the natural connections that sprang up on the bus, led to an exciting first step in uniting the Green River Watershed.
